The Church of God claims that God's saving history is divided into three periods: the age of the Father, the age of the Son, and the age of the Holy Spirit. They claim that you should know God's name well because God comes in different names and in different guises to save people in each era, but this is an ignorant claim that doesn't know the Bible.

The Bible is divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the Old Testament, Jehovah gave salvation, and in the New Testament, Yehoshua (Jesus' real name) gave salvation. Paul testified that the earthly temple built by Moses was a type and shadow of the heavenly temple. So where is the heavenly temple? The heavenly temple to which the Bible testifies is Joshua.

[John 2:21~22] But Jesus was talking about his body as a temple. And when he was raised from death, his disciples remembered what he had told them. Then they believed the Scriptures and the words of Jesus.

Therefore, all the institutions implemented in the earthly temple are a shadow of what Yehoshua will accomplish as the reality of the heavenly temple. In the temple on earth, animals were slaughtered and sacrificed for the sins of the people, and the high priest had to enter the Most Holy once a year. But this was a prophecy that Joshua would fulfill. Yehoshua came as a sacrificial lamb, died on the cross, was resurrected and ascended into heaven, fulfilling the prophecy that the high priest would enter the Most Holy. Also, just as the high priest of the temple on earth imputed all sins to the goats and cast them out into the wilderness, Yehoshua fulfilled the prophecy of the Day of Atonement by expelling Satan from heaven to the earth. After offering sacrifices on the Day of Atonement, Israel took wood from the mountain, built the tabernacle, and kept the Feast of Tabernacles in it. However, this is a prophecy that the ascended Yehoshua will come into the body of the saints as a spirit and transform the body of the saints into the temple of God.

[1 Corinthians 3:16~17] All of you surely know that you are God's temple and that his Spirit lives in you. Together you are God's holy temple, and God will destroy anyone who destroys his temple.

Therefore, the earthly temple built through Moses is a model and shadow created to represent the things that Yehoshua, who is the reality of the heavenly temple, will accomplish, and Jehovah God, who has forgiven sins, is also a shadow to represent Yehoshua.

There is only one God to whom the Bible testifies, Joshua. Fulfilling Old Testament prophecy, Joshua died on the cross and came to the saints as the Holy Spirit through his resurrection and ascension. Therefore, the Holy Spirit does not come in any other name, but only in the name of Joshua.

[John 14:26] But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my (Yehoshua's) name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Similarly, the Holy Spirit does not come in another name, but in the name of Yehoshua. Therefore, God does not come in different names in different ages, for the Father has promised to send the Holy Spirit in my name. The Lord of the Old Testament is the shadow of Yehoshua, and the Holy Spirit points to the risen Joshua. After his resurrection ascension, Joshua came through the Holy Spirit into the body of the saints to accomplish complete salvation.

[Acts 16:6~7] Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.

Therefore, the doctrine of the Church of God that God appears in different names and forms in each age to give salvation is false.
