The earthly temple, where the sacrifices for sin were made, was a model and shadow of the heavenly temple. The heavenly temple that the Bible testifies to is Yehoshua. Therefore, the work performed in the earthly temple showed what Yehoshua, the reality of the heavenly temple, would accomplish. The purpose of building the temple on this earth was to forgive the sins of the people. God built the temple and granted forgiveness of sins in the temple, but in order to go to the temple where God is, we had to offer the Sabbath and Atonement Day sacrifices. The sacrifice of the beast that was slain for the remission of sins was a demonstration of what Yehoshua would accomplish.

The high priest went into the Most Holy on the Day of Atonement once a year to offer a sin offering. The high priest imputed the sins of the people in the temple to a goat who was to be sent to the devil named Azazel, and sent the goat into the wilderness. However, this is a prophecy that will be fulfilled by Yehoshua, the reality of the heavenly temple. After the Resurrection, Yehoshua ascended to heaven and fulfilled the prophecy that the High Priest would enter the Most Holy. The Most Holy is the throne of God. But this is a type and shadow of the heavenly throne, and the throne of God is in heaven.

[Isaiah 66:1] This is what the LORD says: Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house that you will build for me? Where is my resting place?

[Hebrews 9:11~12] Christ came as the high priest of the good things that are now here. He also went into a much better tent that wasn't made by humans and that doesn't belong to this world. Then Christ went once for all into the most holy place and freed us from sin forever. He did this by offering his own blood instead of the blood of goats and bulls.

Therefore, Joshua's ascension proves that he has entered the Most Holy. Yehoshua ascended to heaven and cast Satan from heaven to earth. By casting out Satan, the prophecy of imputing all sins to the goats and casting them into the wilderness was fulfilled.

[Revelation 12:9] The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

As prophesied in the earthly temple, Joshua drove Satan from heaven to this earth and opened the way to a new life. Israel kept the Feast of Tabernacles after offering sacrifices on the Day of Atonement. The Feast of Tabernacles showed us a new way of living toward God. Therefore, if you study the Feast of Tabernacles well, you will know what the way of life God has opened for you is. Those who had their sins forgiven through the Day of Atonement cut leaves from trees on the mountain, built tents with them, and lived there, enjoying the joy of atonement. And they gathered in a booth, listened to God's word, and shared food. This is the Feast of Tabernacles.

[Nehemiah 8:8~18] They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people could understand what was being read. Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, "This day is sacred to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep." For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law. Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." The Levites calmed all the people, saying, "Be still, for this is a sacred day. Do not grieve." Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them. On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the scribe to give attention to the words of the Law. They found written in the Law, which the LORD had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to live in booths during the feast of the seventh month and that they should proclaim this word and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem: "Go out into the hill country and bring back branches from olive and wild olive trees, and from myrtles, palms and shade trees, to make booths"-as it is written. So the people went out and brought back branches and built themselves booths on their own roofs, in their courtyards, in the courts of the house of God and in the square by the Water Gate and the one by the Gate of Ephraim. The whole company that had returned from exile built booths and lived in them. From the days of Yehoshua son of Nun until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated it like this. And their joy was very great. Day after day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the feast for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation, there was an assembly.

After the Day of Atonement, Israel kept the Feast of Tabernacles. This shows what Yehoshua will accomplish. Israel had a temple to observe the Day of Atonement, but God told them to build another tabernacle out of leaves. But this was a prophecy that Yehoshua would fulfill after the Day of Atonement. Yehoshua cast Satan from heaven to earth according to the prophecy of the Day of Atonement. And he came into the body of the saints with the Holy Spirit and built a new temple.

[1 Corinthians 3:16~17] You know for sure that you are God's temple and that His Spirit dwells in you. You together are the holy temple of God; whoever destroys his temple God will destroy.

Therefore, the saints who received the Holy Spirit and became temples became new temples according to the prophecy of the Feast of Tabernacles. The saints who received the Holy Spirit preached the word of God. Therefore, this was the fulfillment of the prophecy of reading the word of God at the Feast of Tabernacles. Yehoshua's journey of redemption did not end with his death on the cross. Yehoshua rose from the dead to save people. And he ascended to heaven, and after he ascended, Satan was cast from heaven to earth. This is the fulfillment of the Day of Atonement prophecy. And Yehoshua came upon the bodies of the saints through the Holy Spirit. This was the fulfillment of the prophecy about the Feast of Tabernacles. Therefore, complete salvation is only possible through the coming of the Holy Spirit, and this is the mystery of salvation revealed through the Feast of Tabernacles.

Therefore, God's people must go beyond the cross and seek the coming of the Holy Spirit. This is the secret of the Feast of Tabernacles that God's people must keep. To receive the Holy Spirit, we must repent.

[Isaiah 59:20~21] The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the LORD. "As for me, this is my covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever," says the LORD.
