Chapter 30 Where is the city of Zion where the feasts are observed?

According to the Bible, Zion is the place where the feasts are observed. These are the Sabbath, Passover, Unleavened Bread, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Weeks, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles. The Church of God, which observes these feasts, claims to be the Zion prophesied in the Bible. But this is a misunderstanding of the Bible. The earthly temple, where God's feasts were observed, was built as a type and shadow of the heavenly temple. Therefore, if we study the earthly temple, we will also discover the secret of Zion.

[Hebrews 8:5] They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."

So what does the heavenly temple mean? The heavenly temple that the Bible testifies about is Yehoshua.

[John 2:21~22] But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

Therefore, a good study of the earthly temple with its feasts (sacrifices) will give us an idea of what Yehoshua, the reality of the heavenly temple, will accomplish. If you look at the earthly temple, there were sacrifices of animals for the sins of the people, and there was a high priest who entered the holy of holies once a year for the sins of the people, but all of this is something that Yehoshua would fulfill, and the animals that were sacrificed in the temple also foreshadowed Yehoshua's sacrifice.

[Matthew 20:28] just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

[Hebrews 9:11~12] Christ came as the high priest of the good things that are now here. He also went into a much better tent that wasn't made by humans and that doesn't belong to this world. Then Christ went once for all into the most holy place and freed us from sin forever. He did this by offering his own blood instead of the blood of goats and bulls.

The high priest offered sacrifices on the Day of Atonement and transferred the sins of the people accumulated in the temple to the goats and sent them to a devil named Azazel to die in the wilderness. But this shows what Yehoshua, the reality of the heavenly temple, will accomplish. After Ascension, Yehoshua cast Satan from heaven to earth. Therefore, the prophecy concerning the Day of Atonement was fulfilled. He also came to the saints with the Holy Spirit and made their bodies a temple. The body of the saints was used as a temple to fulfill the prophecy of the Feast of Tabernacles, which was kept after the Day of Atonement. After the Day of Atonement, Israel took tree branches from the mountain, built a tent, lived there, preached the word of God, and kept the Feast of Tabernacles. However, this prophesied that the saints who received the Holy Spirit would become a new tabernacle and preach the word of God.

All the feasts offered in the earthly temple pointed to what Jesus, the reality of the heavenly temple, would accomplish. Jesus cast Satan out of heaven to earth and fulfilled the prophecies of the Day of Atonement, thus abolishing all sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins.

[Hebrews 10:18] When sins are forgiven, there is no more need to offer sacrifices.

The saints who were born again by receiving the Holy Spirit kept all the feasts at once with the blood of Yehoshua. Therefore, the Zion spoken of by Isaiah is not a place to observe actual feasts such as the Sabbath or the Day of Atonement. Joshua fulfilled the prophecy of the forgiveness of sins in the order of the feasts, so if you do not know this, you will not be able to discover Zion. Therefore, the only festival that God's people must observe is the Feast of Tabernacles, when they receive the Holy Spirit. God said that he would not send rain (the Holy Spirit) on those who do not come to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. The saints who receive the Holy Spirit and prophesy the word of God are keeping spiritual feasts. Their bodies became a holy temple, and they were called the city of Zion.

[Zechariah 14:17~19] If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
