Chapter 32 The meaning of the cloud Joshua rode in on

The Bible testifies that Yehoshua will come in the clouds to save the saints. However, the Church of God interprets the cloud as a human body. The reason the Church of God interprets the cloud as a body is because it forcibly interprets the phrase “many witnesses were surrounded like a cloud” in the Bible.

[Hebrews 12:1] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

So what does the cloud on which Yehoshua rode mean? To understand this part, you must first read the book of Daniel.

[Daniel 7:13] "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

The Son of Man that Daniel saw was the prophecy of Yehoshua. Yehoshua came in the clouds to receive kingdom, power, and glory, and this prophecy was fulfilled through Yehoshua. The kingdom, authority, and glory of God recorded in the Bible can only be achieved by receiving the Holy Spirit. The kingdom of God revealed in the Bible refers to those who have received the Holy Spirit, and authority refers to the power of the Holy Spirit.

[Revelation 1:6] and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen

[Acts 1:8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Also, the glory of Yehoshua can only be revealed when the Holy Spirit comes upon us.

[John 16:13~14] But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

When the Spirit of truth comes upon us, it becomes the temple of God and the kingdom of God is established. And when the Holy Spirit comes, the power of God will appear and prophesy the word of God. When the Holy Spirit comes and prophesies the word of God, Yehoshua will be glorified. Therefore, the Holy Spirit symbolizes the power, glory, and kingdom of God. For Yehoshua to receive the kingdom, the power, and the glory, it means that he is the Giver of the Holy Spirit. After dying on the cross, Joshua rose from the dead and ascended to heaven to give the Holy Spirit to his disciples. Therefore, only Yehoshua received the kingdom, the power, and the glory. Yehoshua ascended to heaven to give the Holy Spirit (Kingdom, Power, Glory). The cloud he was riding on when he ascended into heaven is not an actual cloud, but a symbolic representation of resurrection and ascension.

But the work of the resurrection and ascension did not end with Joshua, but came again through two witnesses who received Joshua's Holy Spirit.

[Revelation 11:10~12] Everyone on earth will celebrate and be happy. They will give gifts to each other, because of what happened to the two prophets who caused them so much trouble. But three and a half days later, God will breathe life into their bodies. They will stand up, and everyone who sees them will be terrified. The witnesses then heard a loud voice from heaven, saying, "Come up here." And while their enemies were watching, they were taken up to heaven in a cloud.

The two witnesses prophesied in the Bible are killed while fighting false churches, but they testify of Yehoshua through resurrection and ascension. The cloud was a metaphorical record of the resurrection and ascension. Because it is recorded that the two witnesses were resurrected and ascended into heaven on a cloud. Therefore, coming on the clouds means that the glory of Yehoshua will be revealed through the resurrection and ascension of the two witnesses. The Holy Spirit will come when the two witnesses ascend on the clouds. Then the glory and power and kingdom of God will be revealed.

[Revelation 11:15] The seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world are the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.

Therefore, the coming of Yehoshua on a cloud is not an actual cloud, but a prophecy that the two witnesses who have received the Holy Spirit of Yehoshua will reveal the glory of Yehoshua through resurrection and ascension. The two witnesses will reveal the glory of Yehoshua through the Resurrection and Ascension. When the history of the two witnesses is revealed, the world will know that Yehoshua came in the clouds.
