Chapter 40 Does God exist as a male god and a female goddess?

The Church of God is a religion that believes in God the Father and God the Mother. The reason the Church of God believes in God the Father and God the Mother is because they interpret the creation of man and woman in Genesis 1 as an actual creation. They claim that God created man and woman in his own image, and then man and woman came forth, so God exists as male and female. However, their claim is incorrect. In the Bible, man and woman were not created at the same time, but man was created first and then woman.

Therefore, only man was created in the image of God, and woman was created in the image of man for man.

[1 Corinthians 11:7~8] A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;

As Paul testified, man is the image and glory of God. But woman is the glory and image of man. Man was created in the image of God for the glory of God, and woman was created in the image of man for the glory of man. God created man in God's image, but to help him, He made woman from a man's rib.

Adam, created in the image of God, prophesied about Joshua, and Eve prophesied about the disciples. Putting Adam into a deep sleep and then making Eve from Adam's rib foretold the death of Jesus, the image of Adam. The Bible likens physical death to sleep, so Adam's sleep foreshadowed Jesus' death, his awakening foreshadowed his resurrection, and his awakening and becoming one flesh with Eve foreshadowed his entrance into the bodies of the saints by the Holy Spirit to dwell with them.

[Ephesians 5:31-32] "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." This is a profound mystery, but I'm talking about Christ and the church (saints).

Therefore, Yehoshua, who fulfilled the prophecies of men, is the image of God, and the saints, who fulfilled the prophecies of women, are the image of Christ. The saints were created in the image of Christ for the glory of Christ.

The fact that there is one God can be seen not only in the history of Adam and Eve, but also in the temple system. The earthly temple was created as a type and shadow of the heavenly temple. The reality of heaven that the Bible testifies to is Joshua, so what happened in the earthly temple is a type and shadow of what Joshua will accomplish. The temple had animals that were sacrificed for the sins of the people and a high priest who entered the holy of holies once a year. This was also a picture of what Joshua would accomplish. In the earthly temple, once a year on the Day of Atonement, the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies, transfer all the sins of the people in the sanctuary onto a goat, and send the goat into the wilderness to die. But this was a foreshadowing of Joshua's death on the cross and resurrection to cast Satan from heaven to earth.

[Revelation 12:9] The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

And when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and they became one flesh, Paul testified that male and female became one flesh. Therefore, there is only one God, Yehoshua, who was manifested through the temple. God exists only in the image of a man, and the image of a woman is a metaphor for the saints who received the Holy Spirit from Yehoshua. Paul testified in Galatians 4:26 that the heavenly Jerusalem is like our mother. As we have already explained, the Holy Spirit descended from heaven; however, Paul called the heaven from which the Holy Spirit descended Mount Zion, or the heavenly Jerusalem temple. The heavenly Jerusalem temple to which the Bible testifies is Joshua.

[John 2:21~22] But Jesus said that his body was a temple. And when he rose from the dead, his disciples remembered what he had said to them. And they believed the Bible and the words of Jesus.

Therefore, the mother who said “Jerusalem in heaven is free and is our mother” does not refer to the actual mother, but testifies to Yehoshua, the reality of the Jerusalem temple in heaven. Paul testified that Yehoshua was a free man who gives freedom.

[Galatians 5:1 ] Christ has set us free! This means we are really free. Now hold on to your freedom and don't ever become slaves of the Law again.

Therefore, God does not exist as a male and female god, but exists only in male form.
