According to the Bible, God created man in the image of God and created woman for him. The Bible testifies that the reason God created women was to help men.

[Genesis 2:20~22] So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

So what part of man was woman created to help? The Church of God explains the principle of helping as a human principle because it interprets men and women created in the image of God as men and women with physical bodies. It claims that just as babies are born through women, so spiritual children are born through God the Mother. However, this is a misinterpretation of Scripture. Paul testified to the purpose for which women were created, saying

[1 Corinthians 11:7~8] A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;

As already explained, God made a man in his image and took a man's rib and made a woman to help him. Therefore, man was created in the image of God for the glory of God, and woman was created in the image of man for the glory of man. Then who was the man (Adam) who was made in the image of God?

The history of Adam and Eve is not an actual creation, but a prophecy of Joshua and the saints who received Joshua's Holy Spirit. The creation of Eve after Adam fell into a deep sleep shows that the saints, represented by Eve, would appear after Joshua, represented by Adam, died on the cross. Also, Adam's awakening and becoming one with Eve shows that Yehoshua would enter the bodies of the saints by the Holy Spirit after his resurrection and dwell with them. Therefore, Adam and Eve did not create actual human beings, but rather prophesied about Joshua and the saints. The saints, who are likened to women, were created to reflect the glory of Joshua, who is likened to a man, so how will the saints reflect the glory of Joshua?

[John 16:13~14] But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

The purpose of the coming of the Spirit of truth is to reveal to the saints what will happen in the future, and in doing so, reveal the glory of Jesus to people. Those who have received the Holy Spirit are to reveal the glory of Jesus by speaking the words of Jesus. Therefore, women (saints) were created to help deliver the words of Joshua (men) given through the Holy Spirit.
