The Church of God: Twisting God’s Times and Laws

Daniel 7 prophesies that Satan will attempt to alter God's appointed times and laws. This prophecy is not limited to the past but serves as a warning for today. Unfortunately, the Church of God distorts God's times and laws, misinterprets biblical teachings, and acts in opposition to God.

1. Twisting God’s Times and Laws

1) Preaching of Doomsday Predictions

The Church of God has repeatedly claimed that the world will end at specific times, causing confusion by arbitrarily interpreting God’s appointed times.

2) Alteration of Jesus’ Crucifixion Date

According to the Bible, Jesus was crucified on Passover. However, the Church of God falsely claims He was crucified on the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

3) Changing the Date of Resurrection Commemoration

The early church commemorated Jesus’ resurrection on the third day after His crucifixion, the 16th of Nisan. However, the Church of God, following Roman church traditions, commemorates the resurrection on the Sunday following the 14th of Nisan.

4) Changing the Start of the Day

According to the Bible, a day begins at evening (night). However, the Church of God claims that a day begins at sunrise (daytime), altering the biblical understanding of time.

2. Idolatry of Ahn Sahng-hong and Zahng Gil-ja

The Church of God worships Ahn Sahng-hong as God and exalts his divorced wife, Zahng Gil-ja, as “God the Mother,” engaging in blatant idolatry.

1) Distortion of Christ’s Sign

The Bible testifies that the sign of Christ is the "Sign of Jonah" (resurrection and ascension). However, the Church of God falsely teaches that the Passover is Christ's sign, thereby deifying Ahn Sahng-hong.

2) Justifying Zahng Gil-ja’s Divorce

Malachi 2:16 clearly states that God hates divorce. Yet, the Church of God claims Zahng Gil-ja’s divorce fulfills a prophecy about being “alone” and portrays it as a sacred act.

3. Distorting the Sacrifices of the Old and New Testaments

The Church of God claims that in the Old Testament, sacrifices involved slaughtering lambs, but in the New Testament, sacrifices are made through sermons. This claim contradicts the Bible.

1) Sacrifices in the Old Testament

In the Old Testament, spotless lambs or animals were offered to God as sacrifices.

2) Sacrifices in the New Testament

In the New Testament, salvation was accomplished through the spotless sacrifice of Jesus. Spirit-filled early Christians entered eternal rest through martyrdom, demonstrating the ultimate sacrifice. The Church of God’s interpretation distorts the teachings of both the Old and New Testaments.

4. The True Nature of the Church of God

The Church of God manipulates the Bible, twists God’s times and laws, and worships Ahn Sahng-hong and Zahng Gil-ja as idols. This behavior aligns with the evil acts of Satan, who opposes God.

We must correctly understand God’s Word as recorded in the Bible and discern the false doctrines of the Church of God. Do not be deceived by the Church of God, which distorts the truth and misleads believers.
