The Church of God claims that God exists as male and female, citing Genesis 1. They claim that God exists as male and female because God created male and female in his own image. But if we look closely at the Scriptures, we find that God did not create man and woman at the same time, but created man first and woman afterward. God put the man to sleep, and from the rib of the man he made a woman. To this Paul testified, saying

[1 Corinthians 11:7] For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

According to Paul's testimony, man was created in the image of God for the glory of God, and woman was created in the image of man for the glory of man; therefore, it is only man (Adam) who was created in the image of God, and man (Adam) is the image of God.

[ 2 Corinthians 4:4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Thus, the man was prophesying Jesus, who was made in the image of God. So who are the women? Women are the saints who have received the Holy Spirit of Jesus. Adam's fall into a deep sleep foreshadowed Jesus' death on the cross, and his awakening from sleep and becoming one flesh with Eve foreshadowed his entrance into the body of the saints by the Holy Spirit after the resurrection.

Thus, the man created in the image of God foreshadowed Jesus, and the woman created in the image of man foreshadowed the saints. Since the saint is made in the image of a man (Christ), he must constantly strive to be conformed to the image of Christ.

The Church of God's use of Genesis to claim a male and female God is a biblically ignorant claim. Therefore, Jang Gil-jah, who is pretending to be God in the church, is a religious fraud using the Bible.
