Sabbath 

From sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. On these days, the Jews rested from all labor and worshiped their national god, Yahweh. This originates from the creation of the universe in the first chapter of the Old Testament book of Genesis, where God completed the creation of the universe in six days and rested on the seventh. In the Ten Commandments, God commanded Moses to rest on this day. Thus, Judaism has a tradition of strictly observing the Sabbath. Of course, there are many different sects of Judaism, so there are some differences between them. This tradition was carried over to Christianity and Islam.
