The Church of God claims that the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden is the Passover, but fails to explain the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Kim Joo-cheol and Jang Gil-jah, who claim to be Ahnsahnghong's successors, claim that the slanderous articles criticizing the Church of God are from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but this is a biblically ignorant claim.

The Garden of Eden features Adam and Eve and the serpent, as well as the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. However, this is a metaphor for the actual history of heaven, not the actual history. Therefore, Eden is a metaphor for the kingdom of God, the serpent is a metaphor for an evil angel depicted as Satan, Adam and Eve are metaphors for good angels with the character of God, and the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil are metaphors for the act of knowing good and evil, not the actual fruit.

When God told Adam and Eve that they could eat all the fruits of the garden but not the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he was warning them that they would die if they did so. When Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and died, God showed them that they could live if they ate of the tree of life, indicating that they would regain life through repentance.

The history of the Garden of Eden is repeated on earth, and we can see this in the history of Israel. After being freed from Egypt, Israel entered the land of Canaan that God had promised them, but in order to live in the land forever, they must keep God's commandment to love their neighbor as themselves. If they didn't, they would be expelled from Canaan and reduced to servants and slaves. When Israel was expelled from Canaan for failing to keep God's commandments, they were reduced to servants and slaves, but if they truly repented, they could return to the land of Canaan. In the same way, God intended for Adam and Eve, who died after eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, to live again if they ate of the tree of life (repentance).

[Deuteronomy30:18~19] I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Thus, the tree of life in the Garden of Eden represents the commandment to love one's neighbor as oneself, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the act of not keeping that commandment. Just as God gave Israel the law of life and obligated them to keep it, He also gave Adam and Eve the law, but they sinned because they were deceived by the evil angel, represented by the serpent, so He gave them the opportunity to repent and eat of the tree of life.

The serpents in Israel's history are the priests and leaders who taught the people the wrong things so that they would sin, and the common people are the angels, like Adam and Eve. And practicing God's commandment of love becomes the tree of life, and not keeping it leads to eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

So the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden is not referring to Passover, but to good works done through repentance.
