A victim stages a one-man protest in front of the Taepyeong-dong Church of God in Seongnam-si, South Korea. The Church of God threatens its members by calling their earthly families fake and teaching them that they will be cursed by God if they do not tithe and evangelize. In response, the church member protested by writing the offending words on a banner, criticizing their false doctrine.

However, two women from the church grabbed the protesters' banners and destroyed them, claiming that they never taught such doctrine and that their actions were an insult to them. Citizens who witnessed the rampage in broad daylight condemned the Church of God and lamented the reality of living with a cult.
