Victims of the Church of God organized protests in front of Church of God churches in various parts of South Korea. They made banners criticizing the crimes committed by the Church of God and calling for its repentance. As a result, many members realized the true nature of the Church of God and left the church.
In response, the angry congregants destroyed the protest banner, fell over themselves, and called the police, claiming that the protesters had assaulted them. The alleged assailant claimed that the protester who was filming him hit him in the side of the head with his right arm, causing him to fall to the ground, but the protester's video showed no shaking at the moment of the alleged assault.
If the protester had hit him in the side with his right hand, the camera he was holding in his right hand would have shaken violently, but the video didn't. Eventually, the case was turned over to the police and he was cleared of any wrongdoing. In response, the police said they could press charges against him, but the protesters forgave him without pressing charges.
The same incident happened in another church. A church member assaulted a group of protesters filming the protest from behind and called the police, claiming that he was beaten. However, when asked to tell the truth because there was a camera behind him, he changed his story, saying that he was not assaulted. In response, the police told the 112 dispatch center that since the church member came in claiming to have been assaulted, he could press charges without charge. The protesters forgave them this time, too.
