'Husband, divorce your wife' A woman who became obsessed with the Church of God was the cause of her divorce, a court has ruled. A female member of the Church of God who became obsessed with the apocalypticism taught by the organization was divorced. "While attending the General Presbyterian Church, the plaintiff (wife) began attending the Church of God (formerly the Ahnsahngsanghong Witnesses) in 1996, which teaches that the earth is about to end and that there is no history after the year 2000, and while holding the positions of deacon and district leader in the above church, she neglected her domestic duties by going to church at 9 a.m. every Monday through Saturday and returning home late in the evening," according to the ruling. "Plaintiff's neglect of household duties and excessive religious immersion intensified her conflict with defendant."
