[Question]
I am not sure, and I can't distinguish between the spiritual and the physical. I am curious, where does the physical end, and where does the spiritual begin? Can you explain?
[Answer]
The Bible distinguishes between the body and the soul. The body is visible, but the soul is invisible. Therefore, the body, which is visible, is considered physical, while the soul inside is considered spiritual.
The Bible is divided into the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament records the visible history of physical Israel (Judaism), and the New Testament records the invisible history of spiritual Israel (Christianity). King David in the Old Testament represents the spiritual David, Jesus, and Solomon represents the spiritual Solomon, the Apostles. Additionally, the division of the Kingdom of Israel into the Northern and Southern Kingdoms after Solomon symbolizes the division of the Eastern Church (Jerusalem) and the Western Church (Rome) in the late Apostolic era. Therefore, the history of physical Israel is a shadow of the history of spiritual Israel.
The Bible has both visible and invisible words, which are referred to as the physical and the spiritual. Adultery is also divided into visible and invisible forms. Visible adultery refers to actual physical adultery, while invisible adultery refers to the act of idol worship, which is when the people forsake God and worship idols. In the Bible, God is represented as the bridegroom, and the people are the bride. Therefore, if the bride forsakes the bridegroom (God) and worships idols, it becomes spiritual adultery.
The Church of God worships the ex-wife, Zahng Gil-ja, as God because they fail to distinguish between the physical and spiritual. They imitate the words of the Bible on the surface, interpreting women literally or creating things like the book of life and the new song, misleading people. If one cannot distinguish between the physical and the spiritual, they will become blind and worship idols, as seen with the members of the Church of God.
