The Church of God claims that in order to be spiritually reborn as children of God, there must be a Mother God. However, Jesus said that spiritual rebirth comes through water and the Holy Spirit, not through a Mother God.

[John 3:3-5] Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit."

[1 Corinthians 4:15] Even though you have countless tutors in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the gospel.

[James 1:18] He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Therefore, those who receive the Holy Spirit and preach the word of truth are the ones who become our spiritual mother.

[Galatians 4:19] My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.
