There is an old saying, “A good teacher makes upright students, and a child grows well under the care of good parents.” Similarly, the historical account of Mencius’s Mother Moving Three Times demonstrates a mother’s dedication and love, as she relocated multiple times to provide an optimal environment for her child’s education. This is a prime example of parental devotion and sacrifice for a child’s well-being.

In the Bible, God is described as our spiritual Father and Teacher. God taught the Israelites the righteous path and commanded them to love one another. At times, He disciplined them for their sins, guided them back from their wrong ways, and even shook their nation to lead them on the right path.

However, today there are cases where God’s name is misused to justify improper practices. One prominent example is Zahng Gil-ja of the Church of God, who claims to be the “Heavenly Mother.” For decades, she has preached doomsday prophecies and exploited the properties of her followers. In doing so, she has incited divorces and separations, leading to the destruction of countless families. Furthermore, there was a shocking incident where hundreds of Church of God members assaulted former members who had left the group. This incident was reported by MBC News over three consecutive days. Yet Zahng Gil-ja dismissed it as a “personal matter between members” and neither took responsibility nor issued an apology.

In the Bible, God is portrayed as a loving and just Father who corrects His children’s wrongdoings and guides them on the righteous path. In contrast, Zahng Gil-ja’s actions deviate significantly from the biblical depiction of God. Unlike Mencius’s mother, who devoted herself to her child’s righteous upbringing, Zahng Gil-ja has shown no accountability for the misguided actions of her followers.

To members of the Church of God:
I urge you to reflect on your current situation. Zahng Gil-ja’s actions indicate that she does not love or care for you but rather exploits and manipulates you. True faith begins with proper teachings and responsibility. Do not blindly follow a misguided path, but instead return to the true and righteous way of faith.
