In 1966, I married Jang Gil-ja, who is now the leader of the Witnesses of Ahn Sahng-hong. We lived a happy life together, blessed with two children. However, things changed when my wife was evangelized by a man known as Elder Noh in Busan and began attending the Church of God. She claimed that the church was restoring the faith of the Apostolic Age, observing the seven feasts starting with the Passover, and soon became an enthusiastic member, eventually taking on the role of a missionary.

While working overseas, I returned home to find that my wife had become a completely different person. Under the pretext of obeying God’s will, she neglected our family, leaving all household responsibilities to me. She even unilaterally sold the home I had worked hard to acquire abroad and gave the proceeds to Ahn Sahng-hong, the church leader. She blindly followed his words but showed no interest in anything I said as her husband.

I repeatedly urged her with kind words to remain devoted to her family while also participating in church activities. However, she refused to listen and instead insisted on a divorce, claiming it was God's will. Each time, I pleaded with her to reconsider, but she continually caused me emotional pain, asserting that separating from me was part of her religious duty.

There were frequent occasions when she would leave for evangelism trips, traveling alone with Ahn Sahng-hong for over a week at a time. If she had traveled with another woman, it might have been understandable, but who could accept a married man and woman traveling together alone?

Eventually, unable to endure the situation any longer, I consented to the divorce. Losing not only my wife but also my children and financial stability left me utterly devastated. My physical and emotional health deteriorated rapidly, and there was no one to comfort my wounded heart. As a result of this ordeal, I developed liver cirrhosis and other complications, frequently teetering on the brink of death in a lonely boarding house. Despite my condition, the thought of my children kept me from giving up on life entirely.

When I regained some strength, I visited my children multiple times to warn them that the path they were on was wrong. However, each time they refused to meet me, explaining that their mother had told the church members I was dead. They feared that my visits would embarrass them and compromise their standing in the church.

After divorcing me, my wife immediately married Ahn Sahng-hong and was regarded as "God's bride" within the church. How could someone who claimed to live according to God's will marry a church leader while her husband and children were still alive? Moreover, they took photos together and showed them to church members, presenting her as the bride of God. Could such actions possibly reflect the holiness of the true God? How can they confidently assert that their beliefs are the truth under such circumstances?

Every time I thought about confronting the church members and exposing the truth, my love for my children held me back. However, the pain and anger caused severe insomnia and nervous breakdowns. I sought relief by visiting various prayer centers, but nothing could heal my shattered heart.

Today, my prayer is that the people of the Witnesses of Ahn Sahng-hong, who claim the world will end in 1988, will no longer be deceived. I hope they will return to the true God as soon as possible and find salvation for their souls
