Most churchgoers, when asked what the name of God is, will answer Jehovah. However, Jehovah is not the name of God. Many people would be surprised if I told you that Jehovah is not the name of God. Jehovah means "I am." Therefore, Jehovah is not the name of God, but a first-person pronoun used to represent God. Moses first encountered God on Mount Horeb, and God answered Moses' question with these words.

[Exodus 3:13~15] Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?" God said to Moses, "I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob--has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

When Moses met God on Mount Horeb and asked what God's name was, God didn't tell him his name, but said, "I am I." So God's name, known as Jehovah, is not his real name, but a first-person pronoun that refers to himself. In conversations between close acquaintances, we use the word "I". I use it that way because others know who I am. Similarly, Jehovah, which is known as God's name, means "I am I," implying that the other person knows me. When Moses was asked God's name and he replied I (Jehovah), it meant that Moses knew God. God, who had appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, also appeared to Moses. Therefore, because Moses knew God, God told Moses that he was Yahweh (I AM).

So Jehovah is not the name of God, but a first person pronoun for God. So what is God's real name? In this regard, Isaiah testified:

[Isaiah 9:6~7] For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

So who was the baby Isaiah was prophesying about? The baby's name is God Almighty, the Everlasting Father. Whoever receives this baby receives God.
